​ I’ve been coming across so many fun thoughts lately—like the idea that Confucius might have loved spicy hot pot (Malatang). Can you imagine him caught by his students with oil all over his mouth? Would he lose his dignity? Haha, what kind of brain comes up with that? It’s just so funny.

​ Communication is so important, especially when misunderstandings arise. I hope we never shy away from it. If you are unhappy or dissatisfied, just ask about perspective. Even if it’s not a misunderstanding, communication is still the best remedy for any issue. I’ve been a bit afraid of upsetting Chincial lately, but I realize that having different viewpoints—or even arguments—is inevitable. I just hope I’ll always be the one to take the initiative to talk things through.

​ My heart also feels soft soft knowing someone thought of me while they were out having fun. It’s such a happy, happy feeling. So, I’m going to sneak in a few more ‘thank yous’ to Chincial! I know I’ve said it a lot, but I wonder if the impact of gratitude fades with repetition? Maybe not. I’ll keep saying it anyway.

​ I’m so happy to hear that life has been looking up for you lately, Chincial. But since life always has its ups and downs, I hope you know I’m always here to share the burdens with you. By the way, looking forward to your diary.

​ As for that toy… will you actually like it? I’m betting you will. Just you wait and see!
